Description
This is my original LW 7.5 model of a minicar I'm designing, to build in real life. I had an inspiration to see what a Land Rover could look like at the scale of one of the original Austin Minis, so I used a free Mini mesh I'd downloaded as the "plug," to model the LR at the same dimensions - I wanted to see if the proportions would work, and keep it both recognizable and practical. I have to say, I was astounded by the results, so now I'm in the process of engineering it for a real, running car, the "Bulldog." Length and width match the Mini, as well as body height, but it's been raised a few inches and has 15" wheels, instead of the Mini's 10".
This shot was rendered in Poser 6; I wanted to put a person into a picture of the car, to demonstrate its scale, and since it is based upon a classic British icon, I thought it would be fun to evoke another classic British icon ... :D

And a good thing, too! :D Thanks! I've made some changes to the front styling (making it a bit more unique, but still preserving its LR heritage) - I'll be posting a new image tomorrow. In the meantime, work proceeds apace toward building the real car :D.
