Description

You all didn't think I was going to go completely over to Carrara, did you? Nothing special here, aside from the fact that this is my first pic featuring David. Posing the figure with a scythe was a challenge, as I'd never held one before - kind of like explaining to someone how to tie a shoe after never having done it yourself. Actually had to get a pair of forks and scope myself out in the mirror: what position, distance, and direction so that you don't cut your legs off as you're mowing. It always amazes me the combination of clothing and accessories figures wear and still look perfectly acceptible, your dead right about the scythe I can't say i've ever seen anyone use one, thank goodness for that LoL, nice job on the posing and the face looks very different, great scene and i've learnt something as well.

An excellent little scene on it's own.I'm impressed with the care in trying to correctly convey the use of your prop.If not quite happy with the setting.. perhaps his wife and daughter in the midground collecting or some simple teepee fashioned bundles of barley or something. :B eaver !

Don't you just love it when holding poses aren't included? :) I saw the title before scrolling down and expected something much more...deadish? This is very good though. I can see it hanging on a wall somewhere.
