Description

Hello everyone! As you know, usually, I make it a point to modify my photographs as little as possible. My typical edits include cropping, adjusting the Brightness/Contrast and sometimes fiddling with the Hue/Saturation levels. Oh, of course, I often add a border just for fun. But this time, I added a picture to my picture. And a picture to the picture which is in my picture. And, actually, if you look really closely, there's a picture in the picture that's in the picture in my picture. How about that! As for the rest, it's just -50 Saturation and a bit of fun fiddling with the "grain" filter. The result is the emotive portrait that you see here. I actually really like how this turned out. It is sad, yet dimly colourful. The obvious point is to portray a negative, unpleasant emotion, and yet there is an undeniable radiance that, to me, conveys a sense of hope. This image is very special to me. I look forward to reading your thoughts.

Great effect and concept. I've seen similar things done before, but rarely this well. I'm glad you decided to modify this one a bit...it really adds to the drama of it. Yes, it could very well be an alternate Umaguma cover...though I like this better! =] F

Really very well done. My favorite thing is how the rug leads the eye to the figure. Really gives it depth.
