By its appearence, this would seem to be a taser/slug thrower hybrid. The trigger seems quite non-ergonomic to me, and I cannot see how a shooter could get a proper sight picture given the height placement of the rear sights. An otherwise fascinating design -- is the intended ammunition powder- or gas-propelled?
