Description

We are not alone....photographers abound! A picture of opportunity taken at the beautiful Descanso Gardens in beautiful La Canada-Flintridge, California. Unfortunately, most overcast that day. I used a Konica Minolta Z2 during this visit.

Great action shot. I'm jealous of her tripod!

It is really nice to see you in action. Looks like you are really into it which is very good. Practice makes perfect. One thing about tripods, if I may advise, they are too hard to carry and very frustrating to set up and take down. I shoot most of my images handheld, but I am most times aware of the Shutter speed. If it is too low, not at least 2 times the focal length, I go up a little on the ISO or lower the f-stop number if I can. Not carrying a tripod allows me to move around a lot faster and actually makes me want to go out and capture the tough shots in tough lighting conditions. Just a tip. Keep up the good work

I think it's kind of funny too. I don't have a tripod either. I like to move around and snap shots rather quickly. I kind of feel like a tripod would take away a lot of the fun and spontaniety of it. The nice thing about digital is you can snap as many as you want and not worry about wasting film or having to develop bad shots. I guess shooting 35mm it is essential to have a tripod.
