Description


Thanks to many of you for your tips, I was finally able to capture a bright object in almost complete darkness surroundings. This image was take in bright day light, well almost, around 6:00 pm, sunset was around 8:30 pm. I used SPOT metering on the white and then under exposed it even further by -2/3. This is the result. Very little post work, mostly the border. Thank you all for viewing and thanks to those who helped me.

Same for me : I have to try that too... although I just took a swan pic facing the sunset and so it is overexposed, but I like the outcome... I will upload it next week... Good work and Thanks ! :~)

well know only to well the exposure of the white feather of the swan, and l always under expose..beautiful elegance and grace and love the balance of contrast.. works perfect..
