Description
My submission to the "Out of Darkness" contest.
Decided to angle the view from the "happy" end, since it seemed that you were not yet "out" of the darkness if I showed you an angle from the dark side - even though it could have been made more dynamic.
I realized last night that I have a number of images I submitted to contests, but never put up in my gallery.
Here is the first of a few I'm going to put up - I enjoyed creating this one and I hope you enjoy viewing it as well.
Vue5 Inf, extensive post work in PS-CS2.

You forgot to say what position you ended in... But, this is great! I mean, you're right about looking from the darkness and to the darkness... This way it seems that you're the wary traveler, that has somehow managed to escape "the darkness" and now looks back to catch your breath and make sure nothing is following you... :D Keep it up!
