Description

One of the comments I had asked Couldn't I do this in Bryce. The answer is yeah, I could, but certainly not as quick. Bryce would still be grinding away with soft shadows and not to mention faking the HDRI and GI. The speed alone is justification enough to use Carrara over Bryce. The fantastic lighting and options are just a bonus. So yeah, MAYBE if Bryce 6 has anywhere near the speed and featuers, then I'll shift back. but right now, it's C5 all the way baby! I EVEN tried boning this morning. But back to Carrara... :-) Carrara has Inverse Kinetics, which Bryce doesn't and anything that Bryce doesn't have, I wanna try. So I'll post this simple picture, but rest assured, I am starting to learn what C5 can really do. Trike is my model (OBP in Free stuff), Robbie is by Drac. taken from his wings3d site which may or may not be up much longer. Thanks for looking.

This looks good! Perhaps the robot is still a bit stiff, but the materials used are just perfect.

That bike looks like you need a pilot's lisc to drive it. Very Sweet!

Yeah, imagine a robot looking stiff instead of organic. Keep it up and you'll have another Carrara convert. :^)

Wow, this looks really good. I just got V5I so I don't think I'll be spending too much on any new software anytime soon! But, this does look realistic.

It looks flippin' fantastic. And I wish - I really wish - I could get Carrara to do anything even approaching that, but I can't.

Awesome render and models!...agree with you about the break neck speed of rendering with Carrara ...I have Carrara 4 pro..and its sooooo much faster than "you know what". just have'nt had the time (or render) to upload lately!...someday soon!
