Description

Well here's the finished-ish piece.... Somewhat lost patience with it in the end,so it's not as 'tight' as I'd have liked it but this was after all an excerise in practise! seeing as I need loads of it *chuckle* First bit of cloth painting I've done in a long while. Couldn't decide between these two which looks best. Came back to it and colourised it a little. I think the dark one portrays my original intention of Redemption and the other a more elegant side.. For me the black one sways it more, but thought I'd post both for those that have followed this through from the start. I'll leave it up to you to decide anyway :) Well hope you enjoyed watching the pic unfold.. Thanks for the previous comments and suggestions.. And thanks for taking the time to pop the window... SUPERB final effort, Mike. Love the look of the cloth and her hair. Excellent work on the lighting, too. Thanks for letting us watch this one take shape, it was fun. FAVE - Matt

Oh, lookie - there's smoke rising from her hands! Sometimes self torture is the most exquisite! I love the way her hair comes sweeping over her cape! Very lovely and haunting! XOXOX

This is a tough choice. They're both beautiful. I like the dark one a tad bit better because of the smoke coming from her hands. Very good.

I like the pic to the right. It seems more dark and sinister. wit the smoke coming from her hands and her black dress.

The small effect on her hand on the right side is a neat idea - and the red cloth on the left is really silky, stunning and beautiful! Very tasteful choice of colors in both - I can't decide which one I like best. Thanks a lot for sharing this!

Outstanding! Thank you so much for showing each step. Both are fantastic each with it's own emotion. I'd be hard pressed to choose just 1.
