Description

I think I'm getting a little better with Vue. I just need to calm down and pace myself and go back to the roots. So, here we have our old, dear friend, The Troll, taking a midnight stroll through the Ruins of Alecto. I hope it's not too dark on your screens. A lot of people think it looks like day, but I envision a big fae full moon lighting the scene. The blur at the bottom is not DOF but just there for dramatic effect and to hide errors. :) As always, thanks for the encouragement, support and suggestions! They are greatly appreciated. Strike a pose it's the vogue madonna-troll-ette doing some moon bathing ! GREAT STUFF Rich, the DOF is a kool touch to an already fine render, for me at night, I use a light-blue spot light to stimulate the moon, I can see some blue tints in there...so is your main light white and you used some blue fog ? looks great, but to me it just seems more like day-light ? well done & ~Cheers~ :o)

It is pretty dark, but there's sufficient highlights among the leaves to give it depth. I think your blur is a little too unnatural though. It should probably start fading out around the first step, maybe not even that far. Other than that, it looks like real environment. Good show!

Not too dark at all, it's a little blurred, but I honestly do not know enough about Vue to truly be helpful. I just like your monsters, lol!

I don't know if you knew this but I am very partial to Trolls. This is one sexy bod bad boy..woohoo :) You probably didn't intend that but there are some pervs out here in 3D land :D I'm going to have to check my monitor though because I thought this was a day scene, lol....well, a day scene with a heavy dose of contrast. It does look like day because it's so bright, but overall it's a great image. It kind of reminds me of Ray Harryhausen work, specifically the Golden Voyage of Sinbad.
