Description

This is a shot from the Gypsy fest I went to a couple of weeks ago. this gal did an amazing dance using the violin as a prop... I need HELP! When I got home from the Gypsy fest and down loaded my pics, I discovered the pics looked awfully grainy and full of speckles. I cleaned my lens and took some sample shots and the same results. Anyone have some suggestions??? thanks for peeking in and commenting..

First of all, gorgeous shot! It's so well captured it looks as if she stopped and posed for you. :D About the problem you are having with your camera: I'm sorry that I can't help, but those who can will probably need to know the make / model of your camera. Is it a digital camera? I heard of this before.

Ray, it never ceases to amaze me on how you can capture a moment that tells a story. About the camera...can't help you out, except that its a good reason to tell the missus that you desperately need to buy a new camera!!!

Do you perhaps got dust on your sensor? Is it a DSLR? You should pop your head into this wonderful forum we have here. Im sure anyone of the talented people that lingers there can help you out. Gorgeous shot btw. I agree with previous commentator, it sure does look like she posed especially for you. Love the light and shadows on her arm. Brilliant capture my man. Enjoy your weekend. #:O)

Beautiful portrait photography Ray! Your images always manage to tell a story deeper than the subjects they depict! Regarding your camera, double-check that your ASA/ISO settings aren't too high (for example, 400 or higher). An ASA/ISO setting of 200 should cover most shooting conditions (except low-light scenes), and greatly reduce any noise a higher ASA/ISO setting will tend to exhibit. Other than that, I like Zacko's suggestion, followed by MrM's (in the event the forum doesn't provide a solution). Good luck my friend! Have a fantastic day Sir!

Beautifully done,Ray!Wow.She was dancing? It must have been so difficult getting this shot!Big congrats on that. It's wonderful. As to your other issue,I too,was going to suggest checking your ISO.I hesitate to say anything further though,as I am not terribly knowledgable about such things, but there are many in the forum who are.I think you'll definately find all the help you need there.Good luck with that and hope you have a fabulous day,my friend!-M :^)

Beautiful moment captured Ray. I'd love to hear the music that went along with that. About the grain ... you may have boosted your gain too much to get light where it was lacking. I know with television & video cameras this happens. The more gain.. the more grain. Just a thought. Great work.

Excelente and very opportune shot......!!! She have a expressive face....!!!! You mention in the epigraph of the picture that the copies had been him with a lot of grain, so much is traditional picture with movie like with digital picture, the effect takes place for the sensibility ISO that is used. The main problem that has this picture is that she has an exposed sector correctly, and the hands and parts of the body appear lightly with exhibition excess, the targets as that of the belt of the pant appear as plaster. Here him but convenient it had been to take the mensuration of light in the area of shades and in the area of more illumination and to make an average to obtain the best diaphragm with which the exhibition excess would be avoided in the parts of more illumination. The dirty eyeglasses don't reproduce stains, they make that the picture loses definition and be blurred. even if the lens has mushrooms. Perhaps you refer to the stains of light that it is another thing. I would advise him that if they are pictures like this the sensibility ISO it is not bigger at 400, if it is to full sun I teach him a trick, ISO 200, speed 250, diaphragm 8. Prove it you and later it counts me the results.

It is a great image the grain does not detract too much I would check the ISO first may have been too high a one possibility as the grain seems worst in the shadows

Gorgeous image !! WOW. Really fantastic. I can see that you had a good time ! About the pics, when you say full of speckles do you mean little white speckles ? The graininess could happen if you were shooting in alot of places with very dark and very light areas. My camera gets kind of grainy when I shoot in low light on automatic settings. I did read somewhere about how to avoid this but I have forgotten. I am sure that Yesitis3 will know the answer to the grain problem and possibly the speckles. How old is your digital media card ?

Super capture Ray. So elemental. Did you figure out the grain issue. My best guess would be you accidentally set it to too high and ISO, but cannot say for sure.

She is so beautiful and this is a fantastic crop on this picture! :-) I love it!! Bet this was so fun. :-) Big Vote from me on this one! V and the grain doesn't show or seem to damage the photo on here anyway. Hope you get that resolved ok. :-)
