Description
The Goddess
I tried to wake myself but the dream pulled me back.
She stood there looking at me with an eyeless face, eternity so present in her.
Ready to start the story if only I would sit and listen.
I could hear nothing and see nothing but her.
Part of me was already running in fear of who and what she might be.
The stars started to twinkle and her song, began to caress my soul with a delicate subtlety.
I stood mesmerized, unable to escape, casting no shadow, shivering in ecstasy with the hint of eternal truth.
Clouds began drifting in and my vision began to twist and blur.
Then the dream was gone.
The sun was shining in my window and the birds were singing outside.
There was a faint after image of her in my eyes.
What was she trying to tell me?
Are the notes of her song drifting inside me even now?
Will I dream again tonight?
She waits with all of eternity on her side
