Description

Took a walk with the kids today and found this guy underneathe his friends kind leaves trying to stay out of the hot mid-day Florida sun. My first shot of a flower... What do you think? Olympus C-8080 Mark

"What do you think?" I think it's beautiful, and the depth of field enhances the focus upon the flower. Love the splashes of pink, it really dances amongst the green. Poor flower, his friends didn't last, and he is the lone survivor in this hot sun. Beautiful image. :)

So where in FL do you hale from? I'm down in Boca. This is a great first flower shot. The DOF is perfect and the lighting is quite nice with good dynamic range. She soft contrast of the shadow is an elegant touch.

WOW! Its perfect! The POV is brilliant!! And the light and shadows perfects that beautiful compo. Id say you did a mighty fine job even if it was you 10 000th shot of a flower. Have a wonderful weekend. #:O) P.S. Love your presentation of it as well.

I'd say you have an artistic eye, if you say you shot 100+?? then, you chose this one for the mood captured, and I'll say it's very eye pleasing!!! I like the name in the frame too!!!! Well done!!!!!
