Description

I was fooling around with a photo a few evenings ago and came up with this piece of graphic design with no purpose other than itself. I took the photo in August 2004 at Kalkwerk, an industrial part of Limburg (Germany) which is used for youth activities, notably music. Don't let the photo fool you, Limburg is actually a beautiful town, particularly the old part which is full of narrow winding streets of cobblestones. So well kept too - I don't remember spotting any litter in the two days I was there! Thanks for taking a look and your feedback is always appreciated :-)

Thanks Mina, I thought the thumb was a bit nondescript so I'm glad you were drawn to it :-)

It's not lost in itself either!! Very cool! I love the use of monotint and black... simple and efficient!

This is my kind of stuff! Industrial debris with sympathetic tints and simple graphics. Thought it was a hommage to Kraftwerk for a second! Influenced by this, I've just thrown together another posting on a similar line :-)

Heh, thought you'd like this one. Love yours though! A note on translation, "kraftwerk" as you know means "power plant" whereas I believe "kalkwerk" means "lime burning plant".
