Wow! That's beautiful!! I've tried to achive sg like that with blurbeta's DustDevil or Fire plugin, and it looked somewhat convincing (CHECK it in my gallery!), but this one is much better. However, I would add a bit of darker orange also.

:D those special effects! Sometimes i think its ok to make entire images about them. Making corrona smaller and adding particle system protuberantions can look interesting too i think.

:o oooh, now i am tired. Take my suggestions about sketchbook and drawing into evidence.
