Description

This is a work in progress, directly based on an original photo in a National Geographic (the photo is of a participant in the Roman Catholic pageant of Carnival in the state of Puebla, in mexico. The photo was taken by Sarah Leen. january 1999) I liked the imagery a lot, and used this as a base to begin an attempt at "photo-realistic" rendering and texturing using Bryce. I have a bit of work to go yet on the texture maps and modelling details. The figure and shorts are Poser 4 stuff, heavily modified and added-to in Amorphium Pro, the textures are largely all bryce procedurals apart from the shorts and poster which are a procedural/texture map combination. Rendered in Bryce, no post.

I don't know why somehow I feel terorised by this image. Yet I sense the humour...This definetly has a message.
