Description

G'day. This is number 2 of a series from Mt Buffalo in North East Victoria, Australia. This is lake Catani which is at 1600m+ elevation and lies on top of Mt Buffalo (see yesterdays upload) and this whole area gets completely snowed under in winter (by several meters deep) and this lake freezes over and people can ice skate on it!! Australia doesnt get snow at lower levels like in Europe (it generally snows only above 800m+). The gum trees are stunted up high because of the cold and generally poor soils.
