Description

Here is my first bigger try with Kerkythea. It is a FREE rendering engine. Google it for more info... The model was somewhere from CGTalk. I just retextured the whole and set up the lighting and render. The model was exported from C4D in .3ds format and the materials are applied in K. Each image took 2:30 to calculate. Little postwork was done in PhotoImpact. ( Klem, legalabbis ilyen minosegben... :) ) No offence, but C4D has quite poor GI renderer compared to Kerkythea... Actually AAing the image take a lot the time, 40 mins :(. There is only one light in the scene! Probably i can do it even faster, but i'm just learning the application...

It looks ok but the table and everything around it has no shadow. that side of the render seems very flat. I think I'll just stick with Maxwell Render and C4D 9.5 to do my renderings.

Ignore chachi ..why? because it's Sunday morning and the sunlight is flooding the livingroom.Very much like your picture and not all the items are casting or receiving a harsh shadow. Some soft some appear not at all.Huh.. that's funny just like you picture.Great job! :B eaver !

That's a pretty good although that does seem a long render. I tend not to use radiosity but lights for time reasons, but I know architectuaral work does tend to use it more. Would be interesting to see the same scene rendered with the varuious render engines. That's the only real way to see the difference.

Geccoka, check my last post (Apt K). It was rendered with C4D radiosity, took 17 minutes. Compare the quality, too

Looks good, i also use Kerkythea. It's a great render engine indeed. Your camera angle though, seem a little too distorted. But good job. :)
