Nice; it's clear there's quite a bit of work on this one. May I recommend adding a little haze to the horizon to both add realism and give the impression of distance with those islands. Also, experiment with the water material to create different effects; rarely in real life would water ripples be that perfectly horizontal and straight. I'm gonna keep going just 'cause I'm overly critical and this image has quite a bit of potential: would be nice to see some waves coming off the serpent in the water (just little ones to show movement, try experimenting with terrains and/or lattices), and may I recommend downloading a free program like Irfanview (found at http://irfanview.com) to blur the shadows on the Poser girl's right hand. (takes deep breath). All that being said, looks awesome. Those buildings look great in that mountain, and I love how you have the little figures pointing in surprise at the sea monster, great detail. Even the hair on the girl came out pretty well, which is more than I can say for most of my... erm... attempts... at accomplishing such a feat. I don't think you spent too much time on this at all; spend another hour or so doing the things I suggested or keep working on it otherwise and you'll have a really awesome work here.
