My first in a while.
Sorry I haven't commented recently, my father passed away last Sunday. I'm guessing he is the latest Katrina victim.
The cancer he had came back on him after the hurricane. This time there was no treatment that would help. I belive the stress of losing his home and office weakened him and allowed it to come back. The cancer, along with his heart left him without a way to fight back.
A message to all smokers, please quit. It's not a pleasant way to die.
This piece was good therapy. Time to look ahead.
Thanks for looking,
rap...

Robert, I came to see this picture because the thumb really piqued my curiosity; and then my reaction was "Oh, WOW!" to your image. You did a fabulous job creating this character! Love the hair whipping in the wind, and her expression of determination. But when I read your note about losing your father, my heart really felt that. I lost mine the same way - to cancer, and he was a big smoker. So you are in my thoughts, and I send you my most sincere HUGS... I'm happy that this was a good outlet for you. All the best to you. :)

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I also lost my father a few years ago to cancer (he wasn't a smoker though).

too bad about your loss. smokers tend not to listen to anyone until they are inlife/death grips with cancer. my 34 year old son smokes and nothing I can say will encourage him to stop. your art is outstanding. I love that second skin super garment. she is a knockout also

I'm very sorry to hear about your father. Smokers, altho to ofter, never listen to anyone when we tell them that it may one day kill them. Excellent render by the way..

Lovely pic, and I'm so sorry to hear about your father. I quit smoking 2 years ago... so we do listen sometimes, don't stop telling people.

We could surely have used Supergirl a year ago. Let's all pray that hurricane season spares us in 2006, because the city is STILL not ready for another one. From one who has been through the middle of the storm, you have my blessings and my wishes for a bright future; and my sincere condolences on your loss. If you turned down your highlight light intensity just a bit, and rotate the light slightly down and to the right you could cut some cleaner highlights and keep the sheen. Hope that helped! Nice work and god bless! Fidelio

Very sorry about your Dad. I've lost both my parents and I know how hard it is. Hang in there and keep posing. Love her hair and pose.

I'm very sorry your father couldn't make it after all. My heartfelt condolences. Nice therapy. Fantastic atmosphere and lighting. Gorgeous character and brilliant textures and shininess on her skin and suit. Excellent image. Vote. I wish you and your family all the best.

I am sorry to hear about your father. This is sad news. I wish that things wouldn't have been so terrible for you all down there and it deeply saddens me to hear of the heartbreak. I've sopken to other family and friends-things are still a mess. ;( Grr... I hope this year is much better down there and that the rebuild goes quickly and successfully. If you need anything, just hollar. :)

Fantastic image. And I'll add my plea to the rest of the warnings to smokers. My father died this Feb. from lung cancer, I would have thought that seeing the effects of this on a loved one would be enough to make my other family members stop but no dice. I guess some people just can't see the train right in front of them. If you smoke do yourself and your family a big favor...Quit and live! It can be done, I quit 7 years ago. My thoughts and prayers are with you Robert.
