Not my usual type of post but since it's Memorial Day weekend in the USA, and all I have left are memories of them. A small memoriam to my father and his brothers. All of whom served in the armed forces. From left to right are my Uncles Howard, Gene, Bill, and my father Joe. Sadly none of them are with us anymore. My father passed away three years ago on May 24th, his last surviving brother Howard passed away on May 19th the following year. Their two deaths within a year has been an extremely hard blow take. I had many good times over the years with them, and it deeply saddens me that none of them are around anymore. I'm posting this out of the respect, caring and memories I have for them. And to say thank you to all who serve or have loved ones who serve/served their country. I hope this doesn't come across as me being pro-war, I'm not but I do respect the men and women who undertake the monumental tasks their governments ask of them. Here's hoping someday wars and terror will be a thing of the past, and that we can all get along in peace. Naive thought perhaps, but one can dream. I had this posted quite a while ago.
