Hi all: I started out as a painter, then switched to digital art after I saw some work in Bryce. Abandoned Bryce more or less when the Poser bug bit. I have always liked more realistic painting. I also have worked as a professional photographer and currently shoot with a Nikon SLR digital camera. What's nice is I could use all my 35 mil lenses with the digital. Happy rendering!! I'm married with two grown daughters and one grandson. Here I am on my new horse, Dylan.

Beautiful work. What do you mean "be kind". There is no other way of dealing with perfection. This is an amazing piece of work.

super Water and PW!

A very creditable first attempt, Sherrie. I like the post Terragen blurring and smudging on the water. Try introducing more mist and light decay to give your atmosphere more depth. Also increase the number of surface layers on your terrain. I think you'll do well in Terragen.

Excellent job on adding those swans in and the postwork on the water. Well done.

I have to say, adding the swans added a special touch to this. Your water settings are perfect for the two of them. An excellent low POV shows them off beautifully. Welcome to the TG addiction... :)

a good first attempt! with Terragen the more surface layers on a terrain, the better...upwards of 5 or 6, or even more...vary their settings a bit, and use more colors too...as WeeLaddie said, some light decay would be lovely as well...also, the edge where the water meets the swan is a bit sharp, maybe blur that in pw or use the liquify tool if you have it to make that edge wavy...don't be discouraged, you are off to a really nice start! and most importantly, don't ever let anyone's comments discourage you from doing your own thing with TG, do what makes YOU happy first and foremost...
