Description

To my surprise, the swan that I have been photographying has chicks now. I got a few images of the whole family. I used a telephoto lens so I don't get too close to them to disturb them. They do become aware of your presence, but once you sit there for a while without shooting anything or pointing the camera at them, they realize that you are not there to harm them. Nothing is more touching that watching the interaction of a mother with its offsprings. I am learning more about life out there through photography. Thank you for viewing.

Swans are fierce protectors of their young. As a child, my sister and I accidentally came upon a swan and her babies and were attacked. LOL Very touching image, beautifully captured!
