Description

So now we know where the 'Aztecs' went... Poser, Wings, PP8 and Bryce. Cheers for viewing. Update: This is now the 'fixed' version with more lights! I guess it's my own fault, for not settling on a theme (story) Something I must pay attention to in the future...

very nice and interesting work, the little ships look neat (but i think maybe the city itself should have more lights ? looks like not many folks are at home ?).

Yeah Mal, I did ponder on that and actually I did a render with loads more lights...but I hate it! Originally the concept was going to be an 'Ancient Aztec Sky City' which had been deserted, but then I added the girl and the ships and so on.

very cool image... I do think a bit more lighting wouldn't go a miss... but still it's one hell of an image... keep up the excellent work...

I think the lighting is just right. It has an air of mystery. Sure some people would put more lights, and some less... but this is your vision, and I think it's excellent!

Cindy, I guess you are looking at the second upload...this is the one with the lights. Cripes I'm getting confused now. Suppose it would help if I was sober! Thanks for looking by the way.

OMGOODNESS! To create such a vision, and so masterfully! The lone figure adds another dimension -- the presence of life, poised so confidently in this precarious environment, amongst the starkness of this high-tech city. Phenomenal idea, brilliantly executed! The sky could be no better. Those clouds.... wowwwww

The pic I'm looking at has about 24 lights (whichever version that is), and I'm amazed at the power, mystery, and pull of this piece. I keep trying to turn to either side and check out the rest of the ship/setting! The lady and the ships give it an enhanced sense of scaled depth, and Angelsinger is right--the woman gives the city a vital link between viewer and stratoscape. Great choice of poses for her, too, to add to the awe, admiration, and majesty of the view, rather than a bland or frightened tone. And the nebula's color--I never knew they had sunsets in space!
