Description

In the U.S.A. we have a day to remember the people who die in war to keep the world at peace. I know it sounds crazy but that how it is. We did not wish to be rule by Hilter or the Japan. Or by other people. We did not wish to be ruled by England too. So we fought and won. Now i guess it looks like we doing ourselfs in like the Romans of old. But that a diff story. I pick this grave to show people that they did not know them who fought. Yes some may have know them even fought side by side. But I did not know none that die in war. I know some that went to war but they came back. I never was in the arm forces. I did not join and they did not draft simple as that. This grave you see is unmark. I dont know who lays here and I never saw a brick grave too. I do know if you know of a unmark vet grave the vets will mark it for you anywheres in the world for free. You just have to ask them. Thank you for everything

Ah yes, die in war to keep peace, hehe. Sounds more like Orwell than the New Testament. What did Christ say when Peter drew his sword....By the way, jocko, most people die in harm's way, one way or another, includng through the Twentieth-Century a lot of civilians killed by soldiers, hehe.

Being a day of rememberance, most of us have loved ones who have died before their time, and it is always a loss. Even loosing an aged friend of family member devastates us. However, joy is found in John 5:28.29. It helps the heart to heal. Thank you for thinking of others. HUGS!!!!

Good tribute to those who intentionally put themselves in harm's way to protect others, including each of us.

Thank you so much for this reminder post. Heartfelt and yes our family does remember this day as we have lost family members during diferent war times. They all died proud and wanted to serve. Even if someone disagrees with the war does not mean that you dont need to show the men and woman respect who are out there proudly doing their jobs.......and also to show the families respect because while their loved ones are out their fighting they still have to live on and try to make ends meet without their spouses........Not to mention all the children that go without their mothers or fathers while they are on active duty. Alot of people dont even stop and think about the soldiers that come back badly wounded who can no longer work to make a living for their families. God Bless them all and their families for their sacrifices.

It is sad to think that there may be many who died for their Country, and have no one who knew them or keep them in their memory. Today, I will thank them all. Indeed, all the other issue should be left for another day!

Sad posting but true for some unmarked graves. My grandfather died in wwii in Singapore prisoner of war. He was only 27. Left two sons 5 & 7. We take so much for granted these days and have to pay a heavy price for peace. Did you know must wars are due to religious beliefs. Amazing. Anyway thought provoking image:)

Often the unmarked ones are the most moving, no story to go with the person. Maybe that's the way they wanted it... My grandfather was on the peace keeping ships with the Royal Navy back in the day as was his brother who died in the line of duty. I don't think a day of rememberance is silly or stupid it's good to honour brave souls even those who were drafted and were forced to be brave. Amazing how the poor of the countries always get the rich out of trouble or provide the labour to keep the rich ppls businesses going...

Don't know how I missed this one, jocko. In your way you have remembered this person, and all others in unmarked graves. They aren't forgotten. Great capture.
