Description
Another shot from yesterday's bushwalk with Cassie. Part of this log reminded me so much of an elephant seal's head and so I just had to crouch down and take a shot! Apologies for the bird droppings but I think they look quite fetching when seen a certain way! Tinted in Photoshop.

Obviously not walking along with your eyes to the ground ;-) Nice photo - what struck me most was the front flipper - a patch of retained bark perhaps?

Of course not :-) Cassie has eagle eyes in the bush and can spot the tiniest things I wouldn't see in a million years - she has great tracking skills. Those blackened cracked areas are telltale signs of fire. Also, some of the split trees we came across had so obviously been struck by lightning - no surprise, given some of the storms we've had!

As the photo downloaded on my screen, I could see clearly what you describe. It looks huge, so those bird droppings must have come from some "big" birds. Ah! I know, it is just some of your wonderful photographic skills that make it appear larger than it is. Excellent work.
