Description

This was done from the delayed reaction to a photograph I saw on the web. It was an artsy black and white interior and the wrinkles of the bed went horizontally. They reminded me of waves. Have no idea where that photo was now, but I recreated only the wrinkle effect, the rest is mine. Made the bed, waves/bedspread are a mesh, enhanced in post. Shells were made in ShellyLib. The walls are almost transparent with the one on the left less so for shadow. Real fun trying to match the background with the bedspread. Painted the dress. Rug is made from 4 terrains. tip: Bryce does some weird parallax things with perspective and wide angle lens (field of view) setting. I find that if the straight lines of walls start going in at the top, I just make the document format square and then center the scene. That works a bit better and I trim off the rest in postwork.

I love how you brought the ocean into her room. She not only hears it she can relive the whole beauty of her memory!! Wonderful Render!

Hey Dave, this is such a cool idea and image. You can reduce the edge curves by backing the camera up and zooming the image one or two clicks. Try putting a sphere in the corner to see what I mean. Still, Bryce has the best and fastest rendering of all the programs I've tried. So glad Dax has given it new life. They really need to fix the Export Models better. It say's it exports UV maps but haven't found one yet. Would make a great plugin though. Models are exported via Ctrl-D while using the smoothing (E) command on a model. (In case you (or others) didn't know..) best to ya and, again, wonderful image and concept. Bravo! From another Dave :^)

Fantastic scene...now when she goes to bed at night the waves will not only lure her to sleep but also give her a bath at the same time!

Outstanding! Truly lovely work here. I mentioned this same thing on one of my images. I found that if I move the camera by dragging it instead of using the controls on the side screen, I don't get the distortion.

Always a fun view over in frogdotdom. Thanks for the tip, it's annoyed me, the parallax thing!
