Description

AloooooooHa! This was taken from the same location as my last post just a little earlier in the morning. Shooting directly at the sun is probably not the brightest idea, but I thought I would be safe using a polarizing lens. Kaimu is probably one of only a couple places on this island that you can actually walk on the beach. Waves constantly pounding the black lava reduce the lava to a course sand that is quite unique. Did you know that we also have besides your white sand beaches, black sand, red sand, and green sand beaches? On the Big Island we have white, black and green....a red sand beach can be found on the island of Maui. Ack Ack, I'm beginning to ramble...thanks for you kind comments on my previous posts and any you care to give on this image...Much mahalo's to everyone, and lets get through this week in one piece...Aloha! 1D MarkII,24-70 lens with polarizing filter,Shutter priority @ 1/4 exposure, ISO 125, Pattern Mode...tripod!
