I have many dreams, mostly ones one can hardly convey in spoken language. I want nature and peace around me, yet I do not want to relinquish digital photography. I have a Nikon D200 with a very basic lens. I had a Canon 30D too, but what a disappointment. BIO I am 55, an IT consultant and tried my hand at diamond digging, computer programming, being a network & computer technician, web designer, amateur photographer, etc. I am a man of the bush and appreciate simple things. I do photography assignments from time to time. I am privileged to live where I do, (map), a rural area in South Africa where I can hear the lions roar just 12 miles (20km) from where I live. I love this site and the artists uploading their work and I don't think any other site offers this varied depth in artistic skills. Piet

Superb, Piet! Splendid collage. Love the tiny wee boy :-) The statue is ace, as is the inscription. Top work, it is my belief that tractors are getting bigger ;-) What say you ;-) hugs. Di.

Yes I often wonder as I work in a place making these huge machines if it is really what the worlds needs, or does it need simpler smaller cheaper tractors that would allow small communities to buy one and be able to farm as a cooperative together without the complexity that huge very rich farms utilise with computer controlled giants like these.

Piet, very informative amd well-captured. The sculpture on the right reminds me of the times fof socialism. We used to have lots of similar objects, but the inscription were different.

"Nothing runs like a Deere!" The shot of those two future farmers takes me back to my own childhood, climbing the ag implements on Machinery Hill at our State Fair. Terrific perspective on that John Deere, too!
