Description
Where we seem to be headed is a future that resembles a period in our past.
A note about my use of art in these 2D pictures: My strategy is to take away specifics (race, gender, clothing, background, etc.) from the image. I clear away distractions and confusions from the point I am trying to make with my image and get to a minimalist representation (aiming toward representing universal concepts). Then I let the viewer add their own specifics back in. Where I do not follow this strategy well enough is I make too many references (in image or text) to specific (current) situations.

I should clarify that I see this as the way a certain country is going, not the whole world.

Doesn't this new dress make you FEEL attractive? This new automobile will make you FEEL sexy and confident! This cartoon will make you FEEL superior. Doesn't having a lot of hungry people watch you gorge and throw away food make you FEEL blessed? Do organized charities make you FEEL generous? Doesn't going to church make you FEEL religious? Doesn't the American Air Force's ability to bomb the shit out of anyone they please make you FEEL powerful? Doesn't Homeland Security make you FEEL secure? How do you FEEL about the possibility of some objective reality independent of what you FEEL? Do you FEEL perception is reality? Don't you FEEL good about yourself now?

I feel just fine ;) LOL Great cartoon. I FEEL a certain country has forgotten that its more important how loud you shout your version of reality, and the louder you shout the more "true" your truth is than what is actually the truth.

Have you noticed how the fears of the West in the last 50 years have ended with 'ist'...'Communist', 'Terrorist' etc? Therefore an intellectualist has only a small amount of time left to find a safe hiding place.
