Description

This was my second image for the Miki-contest, it made one of the 9 places that all got 4,76% of the votes ;o) Maybe I should have added my usual frame plus title but I wanted the beholders to make their own decisions. But this is not as important than the "real story" behind this image. As I started with Poser several years ago I made something similar with a teddy bear and a blue haired punker girl. My son loved this image more than all others I did - but as my pc was an old one in these days I was not able to make a print from the original, the render was far too small. After searching in all drives and folders I found that I had lost the pz3 and so I tried to do the scene again. If you tried this once you know what happened: The scene was flawless - but it had no soul. When I did the punker-girl for Miki and bought "Rufus" I thought I should give the scene another try. May it be because of the new figures (Rufus instead of a teddybear and Miki instead of V3) or whatever: This time I succeeded and so my son got this one as a poster on his 19th birthday in late May. Technical: Miki with my own Lan-texture and richardsons morph, Rufus by Lady Littlefox, available at RDNA, Grafitti-clothes by Mindvision (RDNA), some postwork on the hair and the joints, anarchy-sign added in Photoshop.

I just so enjoy your talent, Meike. The textures and the red paint, still wet and dripping and her clothing are so well done. I am certain your son enjoys this as much as I do.

Wonderful! Regarding the remake-statement in your comment you are absolutely right, most of the remakes I have tried had no soul... Only in very few cases I got a nice new pic. Most of the times I do it like you did it: Take the original as inspiration and try something similar but new. That works most of the time, like it worked in this excellent pic!

As the old saying goes.."you can never go back". I've tried the same with similar results. I now clear my pz3's once in a while to get rid of the temptation. Poser is too sensitive to the slightest change in position of light, cam, figure,,, etc.
