An avid reader at a very young age, I read Anne Frank's diary long before it was required reading in high school. I was and continue to be as profoundly touched by the world she had to make now as I was then. To view these pictures gives me goose bumps. I think because to view your pictures makes everything real. Like putting a face to the name. You see, we can watch it all on television but there is a certain detachment that comes with it. When you see one's photograph it's more personal. Keeping in mind I had already read the book before the class, what I remember in high school is this. How everyone became quiet, even the boys. The boys would only discuss the book in class, never outside of it. It took me years to figure that one out. I thank you so much for these photo's. They are quite stunning.
