WOW!!! Your photo finally loaded!!! LOL. And WOOOOW, its a bear!!! I am soooo envious of you right now. I live in a small village, and they say there are approximatly 6 bears romping around in our forest and i have still not seen one yet. But i always make sure im whisteling whenever im out walking...appareantly that attracts bears. Not very clever of me i suppose...but i only do it if i have my camera with me to "hide" behind. Have a wonderful weekend Nita....sure hope this comment will go through...better copy it first..... #:oP

Is there a bear in the woods and is the WHO a WHAT? Black bears climb trees, and you are still too close. Bears run fast, me too! Great photo. HUGS!!!

Splendid capture Nita! Please allow me to discourage you from ever getting a closer capture of a bear than this, unless you are at a zoo! These creatures are usually relatively docile, but are extremely unpredictable (imho). I'm glad you were able to capture this one without incident! Have a splendid weekend my friend! [Huge hug]

How thrilling! And what a wonderful atmospheric shot. We had a young bear up on our deck sampling our hanging bottles of Colorado coolade (hummer nectar) last summer. It was a shock and a thrill to see one so close. We got a pic but it wasn't nearly as good as this. Great capture. :o) CC

shiver -- bears scare me. Must have been a thrilling experience though.
