Description

This is an image I did for a contest. Yes, I know, you're thinking "not another contest". Hey, I just keep plugging away and someday...someday I might just win one of those big prizes out there. So what contest you ask? Something Wicked This Way Comes contest over at www.dreamslayerartworks.com. You had to create an image of an evil circus or evil from the circus, creepy clowns and nightmare circus horses prancing with skeletons. So I didn't win....again, lol. But that's ok as I get better with each try. ********** This was two Bryce renders with the devil face on a top layer and tweaked. Postwork in the center of the image to similate the melting buildings but that's all. This one kept crashing on me so what you see never got saved. I wanted Creepy the Clown to be on the unicycle but it was not to be. Creepy comes from out late Don Tatro http://www.creepyclown.com/

I think this is a strong piece Nancy! The overall tone and palette are very appropriate!! I can see how having the image of the devil for the background drove this particualr perspective. One thought, I wonder if a more side-street-level view, like some kid watching this come down the street perspective, may (Or may not) have added a dynamic to this? As it is, it is a wonderful composition, and I think would make an excellent poster, or cover art!! Bradbury would approve!!

What he said. hehehe! Excellent job, Nancy! Ray would certainly approve. I know I do. I just love creepy stuff. I also get a tinge of "IT" (S. King) out of this, but maybe that's just because that book creeped me out so well. This really would be great cover art; pro quality!

Thanks all :) Oh yea 'IT' was way too creepy. I had a problem with clowns for quite a while after watching that show, not to mention John Wayne Gacey, lol. Eric, I did not try different perspectives but it is a good idea...thank you friend :)

Super! Your graphic has so many excellent elements going for it; perspective, composition and what really makes it outstanding for me is you can take any of the subjects in standalone detail and they are superb. Clearly, the show must go on!!! BRAVO

Well, I saw the image before I read the title and thought "Something Wicked This Way Comes", then looked to see what you had called it. I'm sure that demonstrates the level of success you achieved :) I really like this Nancy. It has the right atmosphere and mood and is really well done :) And contests? Who needs 'em? ;)

If you keep taking part on contests, one day you'll win... I know it! I would have preferred 'Something naked this way comes' but the image is just excellent. Awesome atmosphere and postwork. The whole image has a menacing feel of horrible events about to unfold. Amazing lighting and composition. As said above it would work great on the cover of a horror book. The winning image must have been a hell of an image because this is superb. Vote. All the luck next time.

I've only been to a circus once in my life. The clowns were literally DEMONIC!! The circus is well given over to creepy scenarios. Well done. Y

Well, don't feel too bad, I didn't win either! :) But, we've already talked about that. I thought for sure this one was going to place somewhere in the winner's circle. I guess the judges were just on the wrong medication. :) Awesome work.
