BIO
I spent 5 years working for a leading Park Ave, advertising firm. From there I moved on and I am currently a Telecommunications and Networking professional working on projects around the world. I get to do 3D for my job but not nearly as much as I'd like. Lightwave, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver are but a few apps in which I am proficient.

no comment yet on this great image Shame on them! The FX are wonderfull and power full. Me i whould have put the ship a bit closer to the camera that way IMHO give a bit more sence of danger to it but its GREAT this image.. Come on people give credits where credits are earned!

nice background..makbe add a stronder rim light on the ship..and maybe some vibration and motion blur to add to the chaos? Seems a scene like this would have more energy on the ship with that HUGE explosion in hte back.

not intended to be an explosion, else I would have added velocity effects. More intended to be a hot space thingy (anomoly) the effect is created using two volumetric spotlights back to back. On facing the camera the other away. The ship is just supposed to be passing through the anomoly and not fleeing it. IF anyone is interested in the settings for the lights. I will be posting them in the lightwave forum here on renderosity. Along wiht the screen grab of the panel settings. THe effect is created using a gradient and procedeural taxture in the color channel.
