Description
My favourite animal!!!
The story of how the cheetah got so fast:
one dog the cheetah and the wildebeast had a race on. The cheetah knew that he would never beat the wildebeast so he asked the gods for speed. They gave it to him just for that day. During the race the wildebeast got hurt and the cheetah could now win the race forsure, but seeing the wildebeast's pain he helped the wildebeast and got him back on track to carry on with the race. At the end of the race when cheetah went back to take the gift of speed back, the gods were compelled by the cheetah's kind ways had left him with the feet of a dog which, are the source of the cheetah's speed today.
Nice story hey?

I know it's not perfect but at 300m zoom with no tripod or mono, that's what you get...

Nothing wrong with this picture girl, this pose shows this magneficent animal slim body with long legs, and beautifull coat. I am envy you for a moment with this cheetah! Story was very thoughfull too!
jinet
You catched an original posture ! Dark background is also very good. What can be improved: Focus not on the head. Insufficient sharpness; no matter it was at 300mm or even more: You can raise ISO up to 1600 with your 350D so that you can increase the shutter speed enough (noise ? try it). No tripod ? No matter, you can often find something (a wall or else) that you can use as a kind of monopode. Remember the rule: To avoid your own motion blurr, use at least a shutter speed of 1/focal_lengs seconds (for example with a 300mm lens, at least 1/300 seconds) By the way, it is a nice story. For the photo, you already done much better.

Beautiful capture taken at the perfect time. jinet is making some valid points. Up the ISO to get a faster shutterspeed and your cam wont be as sensitive to vibrations. Love the story btw. Have a wonderful day and good luck swinging your clubs. #:O) P.S. According to the link i posted the saying "knock on wood" is the american translation of "touch wood"....and they appareantly mean the same thing. #:o)
PeeWee05
Ah I thought as much - about the touch on wood... I'm so stupid, I completely forgot about the ISO! I was leaning on a fence but had the shakes due to the medication that i'm taking... Bugger! Tx Jinet, I'm ever learning from you!
