Look Into My Eyezzzzzzz! by TwoPynts

Well, if I'm going to post one dragonfly image, I might as well post another. Here is a critter that kept me company in my garden yesterday while I was sweating away cutting, trimming and edging the lawn and plants. This dragonfly was resting on the end of a dead tendril of Hoya vine and let me get up quite close. Occasionally he would fly away, but he always returned to this spot. He moved his mouth a lot, like he was trying to tell me something, "Back off man, just back off!" Heheheh. Anyway, this is the result of many photos, most too blurry to use or with the focus too far back from the eyes. The vine was swaying in the breeze, and going in and out of shadow, so I was never sure what I would get. Handheld at a shutter speed of about 1/80 sec. ----- Many thanks for your draconian comments on my last upload, Upon The Tentacle.

It's totally justified that this fantastic macro portrait has been selected as a staff pic in LWitG [ Last Week in the Galleries : http://backroom.renderosity.com/~photo/newweb/last_week_in_galleries/lwig_jun4-11_06.html ] Bravo, Kort ! :~)

OMG!! Here i am watching your DragonFly my friend :) How come you tell me it is not so good!! Man this is a lovely shot of an awesome creature and the same as the other shots in your gallery!! Look at all those details.. I love all the textures on the body and the most (THE EYES)!!! I can't remember the model of your olymbus, but is it an SLR or the regular with fixed 5X zoom with widelens? If you have the chance to get an extention tube that will make you magnify the pic upto 6X without loss in the quality :D But still, that is really super shot and i love the pose and the lighting on that little creature. Sigh! Thank you for reminding me about your dragon.. It is my pleasure tho and i will keep watching your posts.. Smiles :D Have a nice day/night my friend and i will see you around JOE
