Description

This shot is of Whitby Abbey. It is beauty for us all @ RR. Tonight.. Bountifulkinght, my dearest friend did a bit'o post work in my sky. Och, how he knows I adore pink so! Shot taken in November time, sky was so grey. I froze to get this shot. Didn't Bountifulknight enhance this shot so. Hope you enjoy our joint endeavours? Thank you for looking and for treasured comments. I like this, it is ten mins drive from my home, yes! I know I am blessed.... Huge hugs. Diane.

Boy that is a lovely place. I wonder what kind of feelings one has when they are there? A very striking image! Well done!

What an impressive place! All my life I've been so fascinated by such old wounded, scarred and ruined buildings. The more desolate, the better. George did a wonderful job on creating that heavy-hearted mood with the sky... Fantastic shot, Diane. Hugs, --x--Geert

Ah Whitby Addey, a magical place. I lived in Whitby for about a year whilst working on Fylingdales, loved it. Still have great memories of this place.

Thanks to all for the comments about the sky. Diane sent me the photo a while back and I loved it so that I just had to do a 3-D scene with it (http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=1140973) and I was delighted when she wanted to post it here in her gallery as well. It is wonderful Diane. I merely enhanced the art you photographed and enjoyed every moment of it. I hope to one day see it in person. :-)

Wow!! This is Super! I tried to do a ruin in Bryce, but it was just a simple thing. Here is the real thing, and it's absolutely fabulous! Ok, that's another one of yours on my favorites.

And the bones of the building shall not fall to the ground just yet. Far past the time knees knelt, this beauty still calms souls. Beautiful shot and post work.

This is marvelous Diane! How I would love to walk there, one can feel the spirit even in the image! Funny, I have collected things from England since a small child but didn't know until in my late twenties that many of my ancestors were from there. Connection to country thru lineage I believe:-)
