Description

Small Elephant Hawkmoth. Deilephila Porcellus. At least this is what i think it is. Very bright colourful moth i've not seen one of these until today when i photographed this one after it actually landed on my arm.

Incredible macro...never have seen one of these, so bright and colorful! Usually moths are dark and dreary browns.

I've never seen a moth like that, its beautiful and a little surreal in candy pink and lime green.. most strange. Excellent job of capturing its image :D

Certainly agree with you regarding species, this is not common in the UK being restricted mainly to the NE Apart from it's rarity I do love the POV

what an incredible insect and vibrant color. excellent capture. I know, I have done the same thing.about 6 weeks ago a butterfly landed on my back and I managed to get it shooting blindly
