Description

I'm new to astrophotography and this is my first attempt to take a picture through a telescope. It was a hazy sky with thin cloud and the moon low in the South so the conditions weren't brilliant. Pentax optio 50 and Meade Lightbridge 12".

Quite beautiful photograph! You reversed the photograph! The crater of the center which one sees with the telescope! Impassion me, It is one of oldest and one of largest impacts by projecting to hundreds of kilometer its remains! Another example that of right-hand side one way his lines which move away from the crater which goes to has hundred kilometer has the round! I like astronomy All especially the sun! I invites you to looked At my gallery!!!!!!!Now! Fatty with the progress of astrophysics! We know with certainty that the moon comes from the earth! In its formation of the solar system, the earth returned in collision with another planetoid!!!!! So Long! ((V))

Wow, stunning capture of our closest celestial body, fantastic to see all those details! Somehow it seems to suffer some aberation (atmospheric conditions, lens, ...) but it is an impressive first attempt that is quite an achievement! Excellent work!

Considering you're in England where it can be hard to get away from atmospheric interference, this is a fine first attempt indeed! Very impressed. How about some time exposures of the motion of stars? :-)

This is difficult to do with a Dobsonian Telescope. Good shot. The photo is of course upside down and reversed but that is casued by your Dobsonian light path. The blue line around the edge (unless you like it) can be removed by tweeking the Histogram a bit to remove the lower (dark) parts of the spectrum.
