Description

HMS Victory by the Hankster L'Aurore by Luc Faveral Sky photo by Robert Wood Ocean brushes by Raptura Poser 6, Vue 5 Infinite, Photoshop CS Note to the Naval purists out there: this is not intended to be an historically accurate image, rather it is a representation of the Nelsonian era, using such resources as are available. As far as I know (excluding over-priced Max items at Turbosquid) there are no other 3D model ships of this era available. If anybody knows differently, please let me know - thanks!

A beautiful seascape. The colouring has a great atmosphere.

I ike the water and sky very much - the models are great as well. The boat on the left seems to be a little small, but maybe its just the point of view. Other then that it is great. Look forward to more! :)

By the look of it the boat on the left looks like a life boat in which the scale of the boat itself and the posers in comparison with the other boats seems perfect. My favourite part of this image other than the great detail in the ocean and sky is also the boat in the background. It blends in well with the haze and the momentem of the ocean. Another masterpiece by the master!

Hey, I wasn't going to pick this apart. I think it is good. All the elements are there. You even have Victory at anchor, one of the things most don't show when they render her at rest, not sailing. And you even have continuity with the sailor's in the pilot boat all in a semblence of uniform, nice catch. A good effort.

Has a very good feel to it. Sometimes, despite my own comments, that is more important than actual historic accuracy: Does it 'feel' right. In this case: Yes! ;-)
