first real attempt at a martian scene, terrain is valles marineris dl'd from space-graphics dot com...resized/sharpened and contrast tweaks...thanks for comments/critique and advice as these are always welcome and appreciated....:)

Awesome look at the red planet. You've really worked at getting the atmosphere and feel of the Mars images. The camera angle seems high; I'd like to see more of your surfacing work. Excellent image.

Great looking Martian scene. I could be wrong but it looks like too much atmosphere for Mars. Other than that, the terrains and textures look fantastic.

Well, Jason, you picked one of my favorite places in the Solar System (except for good old terra firma...)- and did fine justice - just some haze around the sun for some dramatic FX would kick it up some. Marzipan - isn't that like some kind of almond paste?

Excellent job on the seperation of the red terrain and the sky for the Mars effect. I have never been there and definatly not interested in ever going no matter what wholehog says.

Excellent work on the surfacing, the POV is perfect as is the misty sky. (never been to mars so not sure of the atmosphere) but I love the one you did for this.
