Description

Not sure what I think of this but thought I'd upload it anyway; knowing there is that 'delete' option for me available at any time. ;) Trying to get a little better at the out of frame thing .. there's just something not quite right with this .. I cannot pin-point it .. can you? Thanks so much for your support and ideas on yesterdays upload. I have to agree with all who gave me critique on it ... using painter8 only made the image more out of focus ... Thanks for stopping by here and for any comments you may decide to leave. I appreciate your ideas and support. Have a beautiful day ... Shari

LOL@always having the delete-option available. This shot is really beautiful, and the framing is superb. I love the green and the way you allowed both the bug and the flower to cross over to it is genious. Have a wonderful day Shari. #:O)

beside all above, love how the wing and blossom is sticking out of the frame

I love this one..going out of frame is great. The only thing I would do is get rid of the green around the wing and add a shadow from the petals...

I think you are being way too critical of your work, I think this is a beautiful macro. I love the greens, love the placement of everything, and the framing is perfect. So step back, look at it as if it was someone else's work, and you'll see the beauty of it!

please keep hornets in frame! hehe, no I really like it busting out, but they do cause my hairs to prickle when I see one. Such a large one causes the reaction even more! Fabulous detail, check out those antennae!

Your eye for the composition is perfect here Shari! Your presentation is really great too - with each part of the image displayed out of the frame. I can see that nobody answered your question though... I would have liked to see more detail in this. It is just one of those things that some of the photographers here have some of the most amazing equipment for the macros. When you can see every tiny facet of a flies eye - THAT is amazing! In fact, after seeing some of these amazing images, I swore that I would not try that kind of work. I am not sure if that is the problem here but it sounds right - your camera just did not pick up enough detail in the insect or the flower. If we could see detail in either of those, then I would have said you missed your focus. This being said, you have many of the elements of a superb image here. I hope I could help +++
