hi all..
my father lost his battle early yesterday morning,he died peacefully on a beautiful sunny morning over here in england..and i and christie and many others who knew him are devastated..i really got close to my father in the last ten years..and i'll miss the occasional shared whiskey and banter..we both loved gardening and artwork..if you would like to see some of his work here's the link

this image is one of many watercolors he did..its one of my favourites..he was a man of simple tastes and incredibly humorous...i loved him dearly and will miss him very much..thanks to walther..linda..susan.. and many others who have been supportive during this difficult time,,and especially to my wife who is the rock i can always depend on,,thanks sweetheart..xx

Oh yes, David, we will miss him and his wonderful watercolour images dearly. But he will stay in your heart and a little in ours because he will always be part of you. I am sure he would love to see this wonderful piece posted as you did - very well did. You know, my thoughts and prayers are with you in these days.

Loved the works of your father, Davy, and this one is just so pretty. He certainly had an eye for color and composition and created the most beautiful watercolors. It is so difficult to lose someone you love but time heals the deep pain you feel right now. My heart goes out to you both.

Oh davy, so sad to hear he has gone. Trite, I know but to a happier and easier place. I was looking at his photo and saw such a sense of humour and joy. something you will remember and, I think have inheritated so it will always be with you and part of you. Davy,Christie, Please know that my heart breaks with you as I just learn of your great loss. This is a beautiful tribute to a wonderfull person and great artist. He will be greatly missed. Your family has really been there for me the last couple of years and I want you to know that has touched my heart deeply......I want you to know that I am there with you too. I know that your family is very close and I know your Father died kowing He was surrounded with your love and peace. I will remember Him as a Wonderful person and an outstanding artist. He was one of the friends on here that encouraged me through His art. I am sure He has touched many lives here the same way. Really sorry to hear that. It's always hard for the people you leave behind, but you have to remember the great times you spent with him. He will be glad up there that he will not be forgotten.
