Interesting: the historian of this sort of thing might ponder a possible connection of confetti with snow, as some have said the builders of ziggurats were recalling mountains from some earlier terrain....Is there a historian of this sort of thing? In the past few decades, taking cues from great Burckhardt, there has been some interesting work, including German, on tableaux vivants, North and South....
