Description
At cloudless nights I look above
And think that there might be enough
Of galaxies and stars and worlds
All moved in complex twists and whirled
With life to think and feel and see
Inside this universe I’m free
This freedom bares own relevance
To this I pledge my reverence
To feel in league with all that is
Existing in a place like this
Then I look back at what we are
From a perspective close and far
Our actions then seem erratic
Without aim but still fanatic
Just ants that crawl and gather rocks
Increasing speed to fill their stocks
Still, here I am, on finite land
An unimportant, useless ant
Not gathering nor crawling fast
Just being nice to finish last
All I have are thoughts and dreams
Of beauty and of golden streams
This is where I feel alive
Till foreign beauty might arrive

Well written work. Loved the wording and rhyme to this piece. T.P.
