Description
Jaeko's nerves were vibrating like string as he crept into the old warehouse. Jeet followed behind him, his nose testing the air. The smell of burnt hair, seared flesh and feces made a sickening miasma. Jeet felt like he should jump to the cieling and creep across the roof.
Toxic stopped and looked at something only she could see. She listened with interest for a moment and then shook her head. She stepped inside and watched. She drew a deep breath and prepared to scream.
Warrior watched the intruders enter into the Death-field range. Jaeko didn't know that the drum he snuck up on contained a mechanism from the Jade Empire. A crowd-control mechanism capable of melting the flesh off his bones waited an activating command from Warrior.
Toxic waited and then took another step forward as Jeet stepped under an openning in the ceiling, and Jaeko paused to spring to the top of the barrel in front of him. Warrior jabbed a finger at the activation trigger of the Death-field, just as Toxic suddenly screamed loud enough to shake the walls of the warehouse with the sound of it.
The Deathfield activated with a thrum and green glow.
