Description

Can't remember if I upoaded this before & then deleted it. Skiddaw, Keswick, Lake District UK, July 2005. One lone tree hangs onto the steep slope and catches the last rays of sun. Could have used a more interesting sky, but you can't have everything!! 20D 100-400L @200mm, F8, 1/1000s ISO 400. Thanks for looking & have a great weekend! ~Steve~

Very interesting composition. I enjoy seeing this type of life struggle because it gives hope to all things. If the sky had been more interesting, though, I think it might have taken too much away from your focal point so this works well for me.

Superb picture - liked it as soon as I saw the thumbnail. Had a holiday cottage in Thornthwaite in 2004 - looked straight out at Skiddaw. Never saw the light like this though. Excellent shot, beautiful!
