This image was inspired by the release of the EverQuest II Adventure Pack - Fallen Dynasties. The woman pictured is my character, Aria (though the actual character name is Avaria), in the female quarters of the Nurwen home. The character was designed in game and in renders to look like Keira Knightly, as I felt she was an actor that could actually portray the character well. I figure that since Mara (where the AP takes place) is based on RL Oriental feudal culture, the customs of its people are probably similar. That being said, while on Mara, Aria and Sol (Solufein - Aria's signifigant other) stay at the Nurwen home because she's a carpenter and he's a woodworker, and we've done the initial quest to "gain favour", etc; however, because of the Wantian customs, the sleeping quarters are gender based and seperated. So Aria spends the night in the female sleeping quarters, and a couple of the Nurwen girls have begun helping her dress like the locals. Though her hair is naturally curly, this image is of just after the girls had straightened her hair out but before they've decided how to style it. A lot of people forget that Aria has an almost constant wind around her (because she is a Fury, which is a type of druid, with a very deep conneciton to nature), mostly because her hair is typically up and she doesn't wear a lot of loose clothing, so its effects are barely visible...but with her hair down... Honestly, I'm going to be tweaking with the hair - its red with white streaks, but they're a little too white. I also need to adjust the lighting more and tweak some posing issues, but its pretty nice for a rough draft.
