As usual, another great picture from you. It was 102 the day we were there and we didn't have enough water but we enjoyed the beauty anyway. I can't wait to see your photos of Alaska.

Beautiful landscape shot. That red hill looks so surreal. You just dont see that in the part of the world where i live....except for some toxic dump areas that have the similar color, lol. Have a great one. #:o)

I was only in Oregon one time and only passed through Jordan Valley. this is very surprising as I thought Oregon to be a rain laden state as Washington. beautiful terrain

Wonderful Dennis. Thankyou for sharing. I hope I shall see some more of your travels, even though it is a long long way from me.

I would like to visit - I always thought that if I were retired, volunteering at a dig would be something I'd really enjoy. Thanks for the preview, beautiful shot!

Very nice. Wondeful photo of the fossil bed area. My son wants to go back this summer while we are in Portland. When in school, they made a trip there and he brought home some scorpions. They don't like boiling water either. Thanks for showing. HUGS!!!

....I remember once seeing the John Day Fossil beds on an Oregon map - and wondering how the area looked --- now I know --- I think this is an excellent composition with the different layers in and out of shadow - plus the blue lake in such a dry area ( man made ? ) --- the only thing that lets it down a bit is some rather uninteresting clouds - but the photo does make me want to visit there someday.
